Brian's a hit on TV3 and Ian Dempsey show

VIEWERS tuning into TV3 over the past few weeks have been raving over the piece of music which the station is using to promote its autumn schedule of programmes.

The song used over the promo, Flamin' Day, is the latest offering from Ballyhaunis singer/songwriter Brian Flanagan.

Brian, who has been recording now for over a decade, has worked with artistes from diverse musical backgrounds such as Michael Flatley, Nadine Coyle, Eric Bibb, Finbar Furey, Nathan Carter, Brian Kennedy and Sharon Shannon. His latest release, however, is regarded by many music pundits and DJs from across the country as one of the finest Irish releases for many years.

Brian, who is now singing under the name U.M.A.N., which is an abbreviation for U. Must. Act. Now., recently performed live on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM and he received a huge response from music fans.

On September 8, Brian played at the legendary Whelans of Dublin and the gig was a sell-out in no time. He is booked again to perform with his band at Whelans on November 16.

Brian scored a Christmas Top 10 for Síle Seoige & Friends in 2014 with 'Maybe This Christmas' and has four iTunes number one tracks to his credit.

Legendary folk/blues/gospel artist Eric Bibb had this to say about the Ballyhaunis man: “Brian has got a truly wonderful voice, he can really grab hold of a song and take it to the top.”
