A night of music with Padraig Jack

GNÓ Mhaigh Eo presents a night of music in Castlebar this week with Padraig Jack.

This Inis Mór native grew up observing life and developing a passion for finding levels of intrigue in the seemingly mundane. It's a characteristic he now explores in his songwriting.

His music is influenced by James Taylor, Paul Brady and Don Henley. Throughout his performances, Padraig Jack talks about the challenges of writing in Irish and his work in translating the writing of other musicians.

The concert takes place at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, October 5) in the Gnó Mhaigh Eo office on Main Street, Castlebar (above Thunder Road Café). The event is free but tickets are limited. If you're interested in going, get in touch with Gnó Mhaigh Eo on (094) 9010140 or gno@gnomhaigheo.ie.
