Caroline thrilled with Washington DC holiday win

CAROLINE King, the winner of the top prize of a holiday for two to Washington DC in a competition run by The Connaught Telegraph, revealed she could not believe it when she got the call confirming her success.

Caroline, who works as a legal secretary with Morahan Solicitors, Westport, was selected from an entry of thousands to the competition sponsored by Travalue.ie, Navan, Co. Meath, United Airlines, and promoted in the six newspapers in the Celtic Media Group.

She said: “When you realise how many people had entered from throughout the country, you begin to realise just how lucky we were.

“I have spent some time in Boston but I always wanted to visit Wastington DC because of its rich heritage and history. I am really looking forward to it now.”

Caroline is married to Michael, they have three children and reside at Derrywash in Castlebar.

“I thank everybody who contacted us with words of congratulations and good wishes. It was really appreciated,” she added.
