Sum of €36m. confirmed for major roadwork projects in Mayo

A SUM of €36 million has been allocated for road work projects in Mayo.

The funding will be used on many projects throughout the county.

Minister Michael Ring confirmed the following 2018 allocations for County Mayo as follows

€250,000 for Charlestown By-Pass

€6,550,000 for Westport to Turlough

€25,000 for N17 Knock to Tubbercurry

€700,000 for N26 Clongullane Bridge

€20,000 Pavement Renewals

€900,000 for the N26 Ballina N59 Junction to Rehins Fort Pavement Strengthening

€739,328 to N59 Erriff Pavement Strengthening

€692,928 to N59 Knappagh overlay

€615,936 N59 Lagduff More Pavement Overlay

€300,000 to N59 Laragan (HD28 locations included) Pavement Overlay

He added: “This significant funding investment in our roads is much needed and will enable the commencement of very necessary works in 2018.”
