Discount retailer to open in Swinford

A DISUSED former supermarket in Swinford is to come back to life as a base for a discount retailer.

Fifteen jobs are promised at the new Mr. Price shop in the former Greaney's premises.

The Mr. Price group, which says it's 100 per cent Irish and delivers 'rock bottom' prices, already has 40 stores throughout Ireland.

Two are in Mayo - in Ballina and Castlebar.

Local community interests in Swinford have welcomed the fact that one of the town's vacant premises is to be re-opened.
