THE CONNAUGHT TELEGRAPH YOUNG SPORTS STARS OF THE YEAR NO. 15:

CALUM Quinn has been a central figure in the stunning success of Ballina RFC in recent seasons. The young man played at out-half last season as the Heffernan Park club won their first Connaught league title in 30 years and has switched to the centre for this campaign, from where he is driving the team to even greater heights, including their first-ever appearance in the All-Ireland Junior Cup semi-final where they came up just short against Ashbourne.

He’s a multi-talented sportsman having played underage Gaelic fottball with Ballina Stephenites, taken part in many Scottish winter sports, and also playing soccer with Ballina Town and St. Johnstone Junior Saints FC in Scotland.
