Fresh jobs hope for new Castlebar IDA facility

REPRESENTATIVES of Mayo County Council and Castlebar Municipal District, have met with senior executives from IDA Ireland at their offices in Ireland House, New York.

Among items discussed was the future of the IDA facility on the Breaffy Road in Castlebar.

Councillor Michael Kilcoyne said he has renewed confidence in the IDA finding a suitable occupant for the premises .

Councillor Cyril Bourke said it was a positive meeting and he believes that Castlebar is a priority in delivering regional balance.

The members of Castlebar Municipal District have offered to meet with prospective industrialists and assist in any way possible in having this facility occupied.
