Funeral of cyclist who died at charity event to take place in Newport

THE funeral ceremonies of the man who died suddenly during a charity cycle in Mayo on Saturday are to take place in Newport.

Francis (Frank) Endicott, Phibsborough, Dublin, and Newport, took ill at Ballylahan Bridge, Straide, while cycling the Mayo Pink Ribbon Challenge.

His remains will be reposing at the McDonnell residence, Quay Road, Newport, from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

Service and reflection takes place at Quay Road on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial afterwards in Burrishoole Cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Marita, daughters Ruth and Chloe, extended family and friends.
