Breaffy GAA raffle deadline extended ahead of Oskars night

A COACHING session for eight children with Mayo stars Aidan O’Shea and Robbie Hennelly and a chance to be a ballboy or ballgirl for the Mayo versus Galway clash are just some of the great prizes on offer in Breaffy GAA Oskars seven-day draw super raffle.

It’s all part of the build-up to the club’s Oskars gala red carpet premiere this Friday (May 11).

And for just €10, one lucky person will walk away with all the prizes in the raffle. Yes, just like Mayo versus Galway games before the qualifiers were introduced, it is winner takes all!

There’s a total of five prestigious prizes. They include the chance to be a ballboy/ballgirl for Sunday’s Mayo v Galway game; two tickets to Ed Sheeran; a ticket for both the All-Ireland hurling and football finals; plus a coaching session with Breaffy captain and three time All-Star Aidan O’Shea and Robbie Hennelly at a date to be confirmed.

The deadline for entry has been extended to this evening (Thursday, May 10) at 6 p.m.

The draw will take place on Facebook Live.

Over 70 locals star in seven iconic films recorded on location in the area in recent weeks.

The seven films remade with a Breaffy twist are The Field, The Snapper, The Shawshank Redemption, Sister Act, Fatal Attraction, Forrest Gump and The Full Monty.

Breaffy’s six county footballers all helped out with the club fundraiser, starring in various movies recorded on location in the Breaffy area during the month of April.

The films were professionally casted, filmed and directed by Kevin Rowe Events.
