Mayo sailing enthusiast shortlisted for Volvo national award

Andrew Moran of Mayo Sailing Club has won the Irish Sailing Senior Instructor award for the West/North region.

He is now shortlisted for the prestigious Volvo Irish Sailing Senior Instructor of the Year Award. The Volvo Irish Sailing Awards take place on Friday, February 8, at the RDS, Dublin.

Andrew a first year senior instructor but a life-long member of Mayo Sailing Club, and his passion for his club is only matched by his enthusiasm for sailing.

His strong leadership of a team of young instructors is very impressive and goes well beyond the running of the sailing courses.
