Tomas Langan appointed Grand Marshal of Castlebar parade

TALENTED musician and vocalist Tomas Langan has been appointed Grand Marshal of the 2019 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Castlebar.

The announcement has been made by the organising committee.

Tomas, a widely popular local personality, made a big impression at lasy year's Mayo SFC final between Castlebar Mitchels and Ballintubber with his rendition of the National Anthem at the close of the pre--match parade.

The Chief Marshal for the event is retired local businessman Sean Horkan.

This theme year's parade, which starts at 2 p.m. and follows the traditional route, is '100 years of Castlebar'.

All local clubs, groups and businesses are urged to become involved.
