Barrett considering running for election

FORMER Castlebar councillor Harry Barrett is considering running in the local elections this May.

He received a positive response to the idea when he posted it on Twitter last night (Wednesday).

The former Labour Party concillor tweeted: “I am considering running in the local elections in May.

“A second independent seat is badly needed in Castlebar to get things done and for local democracy.”

Some of the feedback included: 'Absolutely, go for it'; 'Give it a shot again Harry, time for change on the council'.
