Search ongoing at Lough Mask for missing Mayo angler

THE search is continuing at Lough Mask for an angler missing since yesterday.

The man, an experienced angler in his 70s, did not return to the Ballinrobe area after a day's fishing on the lake before the alarm was raised.

A boat was recovered today during a search operation headed by members of the lake rescue unit and An Garda Siochana.

It is understood the search is concentrated in the Cushlough area of the lake.
