Mace stores recognised for outstanding retailing achievement

FIVE Mayo-based Mace stores were honoured for achieving exceptional standards in retailing at the Mace Excellence Awards, held in the Heritage Hotel and Spa in Killenard, Co. Laois, and hosted by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the Mace brand.

The awards, held in association with the Excellence Ireland Quality Association, are only awarded to stores that pass an intensive year-long inspection, including unannounced audits and visits from mystery shoppers.

The Mayo stores to receive a Mace Excellence Award for five years are:

Delaney’s Mace, Castlebar

Fallon’s Mace, Ballinrobe

Hunt’s Mace, Claremorris

The store who received a Mace Excellence Award for 2018 are:

Delaney’s Mace, Charlestown

Kelly’s Mace, Newport

Congratulating the winners, Daniel O’Connell, Mace sales director, said: “All of this year’s winning retailers have worked tirelessly to achieve the high standards that these awards demand and celebrate. They showcase the quality of Mace stores across Ireland and continuously raise the bar for industry as a whole.

I want to congratulate all Mace retailers on achieving this award. Their efforts have been truly outstanding and their recognition is very well-deserved.”
