Mayo guide dog Leya found safe and well

A MAYO guide dog has been found safe and well after being reported missing yesterday.

An appeal went out across social media after Leya could not be located, much to the concern of the community in Castlebar.

Leya is the guide dog of Tòmas Langan, widely known and talented vocalist who sang the National Anthem at last year's Mayo SFC final at Elverys MacHale Park.

A number of hours after the appeal was issued, Leya was found safe and sound by a neighbour in the vicinity of the Knockthomas area of the county town, much to the relief of Tòmas, his family and wide circle of friends.
