Ballina chiropody service resuming in June

CONFIRMATION has been received from the HSE that the chiropody service will resume in Ballina Health Centre in June.

Senator Michelle Mulherin has been in contact with the HSE concerning the chiropody service in Ballina which was moved to Castlebar at the start of the year.

The first complaints I got from constituents was in January. The service had been gone since the previous June,” she explained.

Many users of the clinic had expressed their concerns to me that they would have to continue to travel to Castlebar for their chiropody appointments.

The HSE has now contacted me to say that the Ballina service will resume in June following refurbishment works at Ballina Health Centre.

This is good news for those who avail of the chiropody service, especially older members of the community, who don’t want the inconvenience of having to travel to Castlebar.”
