Dumping incident near Clydagh Bridge

A LARGE amount of household waste has been dumped at a scenic location near Castlebar.

The items 'disposed' of in a bog near Clydagh Bridge includes buggys, a number of tyres, electrical items, a child's tricyle and other waste.

The issue was highlighted on twitter by Sandra Gibbons who posted: 'To the person who, over the bank holiday weekend, decided to clear out their garage and dump the contents in the middle of the bog, near Clydagh bridge, on the Pontoon road. SHAME ON YOU!'

Mayo County Council were tagged in the post to make them aware of the incident.
