Mayo company selected for Google startup programme

SIXTEEN innovative Irish startups have received a welcome boost from Google after being accepted on to Google’s Adopt a Startup Programme.

Mayo start-up Allergy Lifestyle is among the companies who have secured a place on the programme.

The 16 companies will now have the opportunity to work closely with Google executives and identify how they can more quickly scale their businesses for growth both in Ireland and internationally.

Speaking at the launch, Anne Walsh from Allergy Lifestyle said: “The whole team are so excited to have been selected for this intake of Adopt a Start-up and are really looking forward to the next eight weeks. The programme will give us a great opportunity to develop key areas of our business with some excellent support from the team in Google.”

Over the next eight weeks the startups will undertake an intense programme of exclusive lectures and workshops, 1-on-1 on-site support with a team of passionate Googlers, and unique networking opportunities at Google’s EMEA Headquarters. Each startup will focus on the four crucial stages of growth: Understanding Your Customer, Building Your Brand, Growing Globally and Scaling Your Organisation.

Following the completion of the programme, each startup will have the chance to pitch their own unique ‘growth plan’ to a panel of select judges. The prizes up for grabs include €10,000 in Google Ads credit and eligibility for the Google Cloud Programme which includes $100,000 in Google Cloud Credit.

Allergy Lifestyle's vision is to help make life a little bit easier for anyone managing allergies, anaphylaxis or asthma by bringing together a range of products, resources and training to help keep you safe.
