Lively build up to Mayo-Donegal match

THERE'S going to be a lively build up to the big match between Mayo and Donegal this Saturday evening.

An afternoon of pre-match entertainment will kick-off at 3.30 p.m. at Elverys MacHale Park (gates open at 3), and expect to hear the 'Green and Red of Mayo' wafting over Castlebar as Davy Carton of the Saw Doctors takes centre stage.

The Donegal fans will have an opportunity to exercise their vocal chords too with county favourites Goats Don't Shave also performing.

Completely the musical line-up is Frank McCaffrey, always a crowd pleaser.

Mayo County Board's decision to organise pre-match entertainment has resulted in an extra 2,000 to 3,000 tickets being released by GAA headquarters for the game.

Those tickets will be distributed this week through clubs in both counties.
