Three people hospitalised after Mayo traffic accident

THREE people have been hospitalised after a road traffic accident in Mayo earlier today.

The collision between a car and a van occurred at around 6.30 a.m. on the N60 between Balla and Claremorris at Mossbrook.

The emergency services were at the scene and three people who sustained injuries were transferred by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital. 

The roadway has reopened after being closed for a number of hours.
