File for DPP on shooting tragedy

A MAN arrested following the fatal shooting in Aughamore just before midnight on Tuesday has been released without charge.

A file will be prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Local farmer Brendan Kilduff died as a result of the shooting at Coogue. A man in his 80s was subsequently arrested.

The garda investigation is ongoing but the shooting is being treated as a tragic incident.
