East Mayo mourns passing of young father

The sudden death of Alex Higgins, Carracanada, Swinford, and late of Laughtadurkan, Bohola, has evoked an immense sense of loss and sorrow in the community.

Beloved partner of Nicola and devoted father to Mia, Lily and Jack, he is also deeply regretted by his parents Seamus and Geraldine, sisters Ashling, Chloe and Vicky, Nicola's parents Thomas and Kathleen Lavin, and all the Lavin family, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

His remains will be reposing in Campbell's Funeral Home, Swinford, on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.

Removal takes place on Friday morning from his home to arrive at St. Luke's Church, Meelick, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the local cemetery.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
