St. Louis students to transform old disused courtyard
THE students and staff of St. Louis Community School in Kiltimagh have launched a fundraising drive to transform their disused courtyard into a vibrant recreational space.
Last year a group of students got the opportunity to work with an architect and to redesign the outdoor space.
Now, a group of ths year's transition year students are hoping to make their designs a reality.
They have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise €15,000 to complete the necessary ground works, put in an astroturf base, and introduce outdoor seating, shrubs and a sensory area.
When completed, the project will brighten up the view and ensure more students can hang out in a modern, vibrant space.
The link to the GoFundMe page is on the school's Facebook page and any support would be greatly appreciated.
