Former Castlebar Mitchels manager appointed to Mayo GAA coaching role

THE Mayo GAA County Board has announced the appointment of Declan O'Reilly, Castlebar Mitchels, as coaching officer for 2020.

Declan, a teacher by profession, has played at underage and senior level for Mayo.

He is a Moclair Cup and provincial title-winning manager with Castlebar Mitchels and has coached numerous other teams over the last number of years.

The board executive also approved the appointment of Daithí Gallagher from Castlebar Mitchels as the new Bord na nÓg chairman.

There are two candidates contesting the position of cultural office, Gráinne Kelly-Frayne from Aghamore and Debbie Lavelle Doyle from Lahardane.

The election date for this position will be confirmed at next week's board meeting.
