Arrest made after illegal drugs seizure on Mayo island

A PERSON has been arrested following an illegal drugs seizure in Achill.

Members of the Mayo Garda Drugs Unit made the discovery of €14,000 worth of cannabis during a search of a property on the island.

A suspect was questioned at Castlebar Garda Station and a file has been sent to  the DPP.
