Death of long-serving member of Mayo legal profession
THE death has taken place of Leo J. Loftus, 'Moymount', Ballina.
The deceased, a member of the Mayo legal profession for 62 years, was held in high regard.
His passing, following a long illness, is widely mourned in the community at large.
He was deeply-loved husband of Mary and devoted father of Lyndann, Garrett, Cliona, Rosemarie, Barbara, Marc and Kathryn Sinclair.
Leo is also survived by his grandchildren Cian, Ailbhe, Darragh, Leona, Clodagh, Charles, Edward, Andrew, Annabel, Zac, Olympia, Freddie, Richard, Harry, Chloe and Zara, extended family, nieces and nephews.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
Predeceased by his brothers Kevin and Dr. Gerald, he will be missed by his many clients and friends in the legal profession.
A gentle soul, the finest of men, may he rest in peace.
His remains will repose at McGowan's Funeral Home, Emmet Street, Ballina, from 4 to 6.30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday).
Requiem Mass takes place at St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, at 12.30 p.m. on Friday with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery.
