Weather is set to get much warmer this week

Met Èireann is forecasting a rise in temperatures during the course of the week.

The weather will really pick up from Wednesday,  which will be dry with plenty of sunshine.

Some cloud at times too, especially in the north during the morning. Feeling mild in light southerly winds.

Highs of 13 to 16 degrees. Dry on Wednesday night.

Thursday will be dry and mostly sunny. Feeling warm in the sunshine, with highs of 15 to 19 or 20 degrees, highest in the midlands and west.

A little cooler on the east coast with a light to moderate southeast breeze. 

Friday will be mostly dry and sunny.

However, cloud may thicken enough in Atlantic coastal counties to bring some patchy light rain or drizzle here.

Another warm day with highs of 16 to 20 degrees, in light winds.
