Mayo estate awaits restoration of its water supply

Irish Water and Mayo County Council are dealing with a burst watermain in Ballina that is affecting 300 houses on Bunree Road and in Greenhills Estate.

Crews are on site working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in the areas.

It is expected that the repair will be completed by 8 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) but it may take further two to three hours for normal supply to return to all impacted customers as the network refills.

Irish Water said it understands the inconvenience when a burst occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to repair the burst and restore normal supply to impacted customers.

The Irish Water customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 and customers can also make contact on Twitter (@IWCare) with any queries. For updates, see the water supply and services section of their website.
