Mayo hospital treating 29 confirmed Covid-19 cases

Mayo University Hospital is treating 29 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 19 suspected cases.

The figures, released today by the HSE, were measured at 8 p.m. yesterday.

There are 20 vacant general beds at the facility, an increase of 16 in the space of 24 hours.

However, there were 19 vacant general beds at the centre on May 7.

There are four vacant critical care beds, one less than Friday.

Two confirmed cases are in critical care, along with one suspected case.
