CEO of Mayo-based Payslip receives international award

Westport-based Fidelma McGuirk, founder and CEO of Payslip, has been awarded the 2020 Global Vision Award by the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) in recognition of her extensive work in the global payroll industry. The award was announced by GPMI at its Congress Xstream virtual conference yesterday (Wednesday).

“Fidelma is extremely passionate about international business and from day one has been a strong supporter of GPMI’s mission to educate global payroll professionals,” said Dan Maddux, president of the Global Payroll Management Institute. “She has distinguished herself as a business leader not only in Ireland, but around the world.”

McGuirk has more than 20 years of experience in international business and global payroll. At Payslip, McGuirk works closely with global payroll leaders on current implementation projects with international clients across the software, IT services, engineering consultancy, agriculture, and other sectors in 27 countries.

She has participated as a subject matter expert on panels at GPMI’s Global Payroll Management Forum and has presented several GPMI webinars. McGuirk earned her Global Payroll Management Certificate through GPMI in 2017. In addition, she helped establish the GPMI Dublin Chapter in March 2019 and has served as its first president.

The Global Vision Award recognizes a global payroll professional who exhibits strong leadership in the rapidly evolving and growing industry and is an active volunteer with GPMI. The award was presented to McGuirk during a general session of the Congress Xstream conference, co-presented by the Global Payroll Management Institute and American Payroll Association.

Payslip provides automation and integration technology for global payroll management, helping multinationals standardise their global payroll process, centrally manage their payroll with visibility and control, and scale into new countries easily.
