Nationwide Status Yellow thunder warning in place

A nationwide Status Yellow thunder warning is in place.

Heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop later on Thursday and Thursday night with some severe downpours, hail and spot flooding.

Due to the localised nature of thunderstorms some parts of the country will remain dry.

The warning, issued by Met. Èireann, is valid from 4 p.m today until 9 a.m. on Friday.
