A 'man' has been making a nightly appearance in some local trees.

The 'apparition' was spotted by an eagle-eyed local who explained that the somewhat eerie vision can be seen after dark.

The side profile of a man's head appears in the trees on the North Quay of the Black Oak river.

There's nothing sinister in it, it's an optical illusion, from the effect of the light of the street lamp shining on the shapes of the branches.
