Mayo road closes for nine months due to works on new dual carriageway
The Windsor Road (L-5786) will be closed from today until April 6, 2021, as works take place on the new N5 dual carriageway between Turlough and Westport.
Speed limit restrictions of 60km/h are in place at the following roads.
N5 Turlough Road
N60 Breaffy Road
Belcarra Road
N84 Ballinrobe Road
N5 Derrylea/Pheasant Hill
N5 Knockranny.
Active plant crossing/access points are located on the following roads:

N5 Derrylea/Pheasant Hill.
Property condition surveys of buildings in close proximity to the road project are being carried out by an independent engineer.
Advance notice will be given to home owners so the engineer can schedule dates and times that will suit the home owner for their survey to be carried.
The Westport to Turlough Road Project involves the design and construction of new national primary road (approximately 23km long), new national secondary road (approximately 2.5km long) and all ancillary works.
The 25.5km overall length of the route consists of approximately 20.3km of Type 2 Dual Carriageway and approximately 5.2km of Single Carriageway including a section of online improvement.
