Snugboro school road safety concerns

CONCERN for the safety of children being dropped off and collected at Snugboro National School has been raised by Councillor Martin McLoughlin.

A number of suggestions have been made to alleviate those concerns, he told a local municipal district meeting.

This includes reducing the speed limit from 80kph to 50 kph at the location or to put in place speed ramps.

A double yellow line on the road opposite the school would also discourage people from pulling up and letting children out of vehicles where they then have to cross the road to get into school, he said.
