One suspected case in Mayo's hospital's ICU on 74th day without a confirmed case

One suspected Covid-19 case is in the intensive care unit of Mayo University Hospital today, according to information released by the HSE.

The details, recorded at the facility at 8 p.m. last night, confirm MUH has reached day 74 without a confirmed Covid-19 case.

The last confirmed case at the centre was recorded on June 9.

Since June 9, the number of confirmed case in Mayo increased by 1 from 570 to 587 but none of those cases required treatment at the Castlebar facility.

Nationally, there are 19 confirmed cases being treated in Irish hospitals today and 76 suspected cases.

There are no vacant general beds in MUH today, a drop of two in 24 hours, and one vacant critical care bed, no change.
