Sharp drop in number of patients on trolleys at MUH today

Six patients are on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) today awaiting beds.

That's a drop of ten from yesterday's statistic.

Three are in the emergency department with three elsewhere in the hospital, the daily trolley count issued by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) shows.

In total across the country there are 180 patients, down from 207, waiting for beds in Irish hospitals.

Worst affected is University Hospital Limerick (46) and Cork University Hospital (33).
