Mayo University Hospital has its first confirmed Covid-19 cases since June 9

Two confirmed Covid-19 cases are in care today at Mayo University Hospital (MUH).

That's according to details recorded by the HSE at the centre at 8 p.m. last night.

They are the first cases to be admitted to the hospital since June 9, the Castlebar facility having completed 94 days without a case.

Nationally, there are 53 confirmed cases being treated in Irish hospitals today, a decrease of four in 24 hours, and 104 suspected cases, a decrease of 15.

There are six vacant general beds in MUH today, an increase of three, and two vacant critical care beds, an increase of two in 24 hours.
