Mayo County Council outline impact of Level 5 restrictions on services

Due to the Covid-19 level 5 restrictions, Mayo County Council has advised the public of some changes taking effect from midnight tonight.

As providers of essential services, Mayo County Council offices remain open and the services it provide for the county will continue to be delivered.

In line with current public health guidance on remote working, an appointments based service will be in operation where necessary.

A statement issued by the authority continued: "Keeping your own safety in mind, we would encourage you to make every effort to do your business with us online.

Following the guidance laid out in Framework for Restrictive Measures, the following public buildings and venues will remain closed for the next six weeks.

Mayo County Council Motor Tax Offices – Services are available online

Mayo County Council Libraries - Online services are available

Mayo County Council Museums and Art Centres - closed to the public.

Leisure Centres, Swimming pools and gyms - closed to the public
