Mother and infant son who died tragically to be laid to rest in Ballina
The nurse and her infant son who died in tragic circumstances in Dublin last week will be laid to rest together in Ballina on Saturday morning.
Nicola and Henry Coleman will be buried in Leigue Cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Muredach’s Cathedral at 11.30 a.m.
The funeral will be private at all times and the family and undertaker, David McGowan, have appealed for the public and media to respect their wishes.
Nicola, a paediatric nurse, is survived by her husband, Darren, a native of Knockmore.
Her death and that of her son is being treated by gardai as a family tragedy.
The young mother, a native of Ballina, and her infant were found dead in the Lucan area of Co. Dublin, on Thursday, October 22.
Post-mortems have been completed but the results are not being released for operational reasons.
The Ballina and Knockmore communities have been plunged into deep mourning by the deaths.
Nicola (née Keane) was a nurse at the Childrens’ Hospital in Crumlin.
Along with her husband, Darren Coleman, she moved to Dublin some years ago.
Predeceased by her parents Mary and Frank Keane, Nicola and Baby Henry are deeply regretted and sadly missed by their loving husband and dad, Darren, by Nicola`s sisters Michelle and Siobhan, Darren`s parents Billy and Gladys Coleman, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, work colleagues and many friends, to whom heartfelt sympathy is tendered.
May the gentle souls of the deceased rest in peace.
