Popular Coolegrane Christmas lights going ahead
HERE'S some good news as the festive season starts to loom large.
One of Mayo's most popular Christmas lighting spectacles – that of Kevin Hughes in Coolegrane, Foxford - will go ahead this year.
Kevin confirmed the 'bright news' on his social media, where he explained: “After serious consideration and safety in mind we have decided to go ahead with the Coolegrane lights display.
“We were overwhelmed with all the enquiries to find out were the lights going ahead.”
As always, a local charity will benefit from the Christmas lights: “We have decided all proceeds collected this year goes to O'Dwyer Cheshire Home, Bohola. The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for a much needed people carrier to transport the patients to their appointments.”
Added Kevin: “Thanks for all the interest in the Coolegrane Lights. Full details later.”
