Tragic Michael will be laid to rest on Saturday

THE funeral will take place this weekend of the young man who died following an incident in Swinford earlier this week.

Michael Francis McDonagh, of Carrowmore Drive in Knock, tragically died on Monday.

His funeral will be arriving to the Church of St. John The Baptist, Knock on Saturday for Mass at 1 p.m. He will then be laid to rest in Knock Cemetery.

Due to HSE and government guidelines the funeral at all stages will be private for family only.

Michael is deeply regretted by his mom and dad Winnie and Bernie and also sadly missed by his mother Ellen, father Thomas, brother Jason, sisters Annie, Ellie, Mary, Samantha, Fiona, Donna, Linda, Tina, Mary, Winnie, Bridget Marguerite, brothers Patrick and William, grandparents Oweny and Annie, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins relatives and many friends.

A man charged with his murder, Matusz Batiuk, of Carrabeg Estate in Swinford, has been remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court tomorrow (Friday).
