The Airmedica sanitiser which came to the rescue of schools across the country

MAYO COVID HEROES NO. 3: Airmedica, Claremorris

The Mayo-based company, a personal protective cosmetics brand, have been at the forefront of the fight against Covid.

Back in May, they teamed up with Irish skincare company Human+Kind to donate 4,000 units of Airmedica hand sanitiser and 1,000 units of Human+Kind hand cream to frontline workers.

In late October, they stepped in when the ViraPro-branded hand sanitiser was found to contain methanol rather than ethanol and the Department of Agriculture advised the public to stop using it and the company’s other products.

As a result, they offered free hand sanitiser to all schools affected by the product recall.
