No vacant beds at MUH as Covid numbers remain high

The number of confirmed Covid cases in care today at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has not changed in the past 24 hours.

It stays at 29, now the sixth highest in the country.

That's according to figures recorded at the centre by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

There is also one suspected cases in the hospital, down by one, and the facility's ICU remains virus free.

Nationally, the number of hospitalised confirmed cases has increased by 10 to 476.

The number of patients in intensive care units has risen by two to 41.

There are no vacant general beds at MUH, a drop of two, and no vacant critical care bed, down by one.

A total of 67 new confirmed cases in Mayo were revealed by the Health Protection Surveillance yesterday evening, bringing the total to 330 in the last 14 days.
