201 patients waiting for beds in Irish hospitals

A TOTAL of 201 admitted patients are waiting for beds in Irish hospitals this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

Some 185 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 16 are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.

At Mayo University Hospital, there are eight patients on trolleys – six in the emergency department and two on wards in the facility.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 41 patients awaiting beds.
