THE following are today’s Mayo death and funeral notices.

MARY BOLES, BELMULLET

Mary Boles (née Geraghty), Tallagh Hill, Belmullet and formerly of Longford and Blacksod, Belmullet.

Predeceased by her husband James and sister Julia. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughters Mari and Eileen, sons Eamon and Kevin, sisters Kathleen, Margaret, Bridget and Ann, brother Martin, son-in-law Ian, daughter-in-law Fiona, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral will depart from McDonnells Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday morning at 11.15 a.m. to arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Aughleam for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.

CELESTINE FITZMAURICE, CLAREMORRIS

Celestine (Ena) Fitzmaurice (née Morley), Clare, Claremorris.

Ena was predeceased by her husband Tom, daughter Sheila, son Louis and brother Tom. Deeply regretted by her sons John (Dublin), Tom (Galway), Eamon (Raleigh N.C), daughter Mary (Castlerea), sisters Agnes, Evelyn, Sheila and Carmel, brother Sean, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Ena’s funeral cortège will leave Gilligan’s Funeral Home at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, past her home at Clare and then via Ballyhaunis Road to arrive for Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. in St Colman’s Church, Claremorris. Burial will take place afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Her Funeral Mass can be viewed on YouTube, Claremorris Church live and will be also relayed on the local Parish Church radio on 106FM.

MARY GALLAGHER MACBRIDE, ACHILL

Mary Gallagher MacBride, Creeslough, Donegal and formerly of Mountcharles and Achill.

Mary passed away peacefully into the gloaming in the company of her daughters, Alanna, Cróna and Eanya and serenaded from afar by her siblings Tommy, sisters Rose, Anne, Breege, Eibhlín and Kathleen Angela. Predeceased by Robert, she will be sadly missed by both the MacBride and Gallagher clans, by brothers-in-law Russ and Gerry, grandchildren Sonny and Robyn, son-in-law Steve, sisters-in-Treasa and Lucy, and brother-in-law Pat, Gene, Paddy and John and by her many nieces and nephews.

Mary’s private funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, at 11 a.m. at the Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church, Currane. Burial will follow in Polranny Cemetery.

PETER GAUGHAN, BELMULLET

Peter Gaughan, Cross Boyd, Binghamstown, Belmullet.

Predeceased by his wife Hannah (née Lynskey) and his son Patrick. Sadly missed by his only daughter Mary Keane, sons Martin, P.J. and Seán Gaughan. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his twin brother John (Caistor, England), his sister Mary Reilly (Emlybeg), son-in-law Henry, daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Funeral will depart from McDonnells Funeral Home, Belmullet on Friday morning at 11.15 a.m. to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, Binghamstown for Funeral Mass at 12 o'clock followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

Streaming of the funeral will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page after 5 p.m. Memorial Mass for the soul of Peter will be held at a later date.

BRO VIANNEY KERR, KNOCK

Bro. Vianney Kerr, Alexian Brothers, Knock.

Predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Sally. Deeply regretted by his brother Kelvin, Brendan, Alexian Brothers, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Funeral arriving at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Knock on Thursday, January 14, for Mass at 1 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

MICHAEL EUGENE LYNCH, CASTLEBAR

Michael Eugene Lynch (also known as Mike and Mick), Newport Road, Castlebar and formerly of Knocknalossett, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and Birmingham and London.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Theresa nee Armstrong (Ballina) his parents Francis and Mary Lynch, his sister Marie McNamara (Wimbleton, UK) and Elizabeth (Betty) Hutson (Croydon London).

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Kathleen Attracta McLaughlin (Derry) Margaret Hoole (Sheffield, UK), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

Removal from the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Thursday morning 14th January at 11am to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Michael will be laid to rest after Mass with his beloved Theresa in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

JOHN MCGEEVER, SWINFORD

John McGeever, Bothaul, Meelick, Swinford.

Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Michael and sisters Mary and Evelyn. Deeply regretted by his sister Chris (London), nieces, nephews, all his cousins, kind neighbours and friends.

John's Funeral Mass will take place in St. Luke's Church, Meelick on Friday January 15, at 12 noon prior to burial in St. Luke's Cemetery. Meelick.

FR. DENIS MCHUGH, KNOCK

Fr. Denis McHugh, Knock, and formerly of Skeaghbeg, Headford Co. Galway and Patterson, New Jersey.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister Freda, brother Jimmy (New Jersey), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, pastoral colleagues, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Fr. Denis will arrive at St. Patrick and Cuana Church (Corner Chapel) on Thursday 1January 14, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Mass may be viewed live on Caherlistrane GAA Facebook page.
