Rody taking up Swiss golf appointment

HAVING started his career at a Mayo golf club, Rody Kilbride is moving to Switzerland to take up a new greenkeeping position.

Ballyhaunis Golf Club has extended its congratulations to Rody, son of Gerry and Liz Kilbride, as he takes up his new role as greenkeeper at Zurich Golf & Country Club.

Rody commenced his training at the club in Ballyhaunis, and in college pursued a career in greenkeeping, being named Student of the Year.

This, in turn, led him to attaining a position at the exclusive Adare Manor.

Rody is now heading to Zurich at the end of the month to take up his new position.

Said the club in a social media post: “We at Ballyhaunis Golf Club wish him the very best of luck in Zurich.”
