Mayo GAA club announces 5k a day quest

Crossmolina Deel Rovers players are about to embark on a quest to complete 5km a day for the 31 days of March

The target for the players is to each cover 155km over the month of March, and you can join them – whether by walking, running, hiking or cycling, the choice is up to you.

“We are all struggling for motivation with the ongoing restrictions but we hope this challenge will encourage people in the community far and wide to get out and get moving. Try and get out every day or even just a few extra times over March to get more active whatever way you can,” the club said in announcing the initiative on its Facebook page.

Crossmolina Deel Rovers is trying to raise funds for some worthy causes that do excellent work in the local area. Funds raised will go to Mayo Roscommon Hospice (37.5%), Mindspace Mayo (37.5%) and Crossmolina Deel Rovers Bord na nÓg (25%).
