Works to resolve flooding issue along busy Mayo greenway route

SAFETY works are taking place on the greenway between Turlough and Castlebar at two spots where the river floods across the trail.

Mayo Count Council outdoor staff are on-site to try and raise the ground levels, news welcomed by Councillor Ger Deere and Councillor Donna Sheridan.

The route regularly floods after heavy rains, rendering it impassible for walkers and cyclists.
