THE following are today's Mayo death and funeral notices.

DENISS PROSVIRNEVS, CASTLEBAR

Deniss Prosvirnevs, Spencer Street, Castlebar, and formerly of Liepaja, Latvia.

His death tragically following a road traffic accident.

Deniss will be sadly missed by his loving family and his friends and colleagues in both Ireland and Latvia.

A Russian Orthodox Service will take place at the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, on Sunday, March 14, at 2.30 .pm. Farewell will be at 3 p.m.

Private cremation will follow later and Deniss will then be repatriated to his native Latvia.

MICHAEL SWEENEY, SHRULE

Michael Sweeney, Brodella, Shrule.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Sweeney, his sister Mary and uncle Larry. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Nora, Breege (England), Bernie and Carmel, his brothers Sean (England), Gerry (Boston, USA), Frank, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Funeral arriving for 1 o'clock mass on Sunday, March 14, to St. Joseph's Church Shrule. Burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery. Funeral private to family only. It will be live streamed on Shrule Parish Facebook Page and can be listened to on the Parish Radio at 101.4 FM.

PHILOMENA MCDERMOTT, BALLA

Philomena McDermott (née Gavin), Rathfarnham, Dublin, and formerly Balla.

Beloved wife of Peter and dearly loved mother of Clara, Shane and Mark. Sadly, missed by her son in-law Peter, grandsons Seth and Graidey, brothers Martin and Patrick, sisters Kathleen and Maureen, sisters-in-law Breege and Sabina, brother-in-law Jude.

SARAH KEANE, BELMULLET

Sarah Keane (née Lavelle), Gladree, Belmullet.

Predeceased by her husband Martin, infant son Baby J., brothers Pat and Anthony and sister Nora. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family – Michael (Letterkenny, Co.Donegal), John (Gladree, Belmullet), Mary O’Connor (Belmullet), Sadie Barrett (Belmullet), Martin (Gladree, Belmullet), Brendan (Ballina) and Vincent (Belmullet), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains will arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, on Monday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.

CHRISTINE FINN, WESTPORT

Christine Finn (née Galvin), Quay Village, Westport.

Sadly missed by her husband Tom, sons Gerry and Kevin, daughter Martina, son-in-law Ivan, daughters-in-law Sinead and Jill, brother Paddy, grandchildren, great-grandchild, relatives and friends.

Mass in Aughagower Church on Monday, March 15, at 11.30 a.m. followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium.

BRIDGET DURCAN, BALLINA

Bridget Durcan (née Campbell), Late of Marian Crescent and Rehins, Ballina.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, sisters Mary, Margaret, Annie, Kathleen and Eva, brothers Michael and James.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving son Willie ( Rathkip, Ballina), daughters Mary Lally (Westport), Bridie Kilcullen (Enniscrone) and Chris Donohoe (Moyne, Longford), daughter-in-law Madeline, sons-in-law Neil, Noel and Gerry, grandchildren Helen, Shirley, Alan, Helen, Avril, Joseph, Niall, Ciaran and Stephen, great-grandchildren Michael, Anna, Andrew and David, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortège will arrive to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina on Monday morning for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.org

Alicoque Hoban (née Lohan), Rathbawn Drive and formerly of Gallows Hill, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her son John James and sister Maureen Smyth. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family, husband Pat, sons Declan and Finbar, daughter Caroline (Halligan), brothers John (Castlebar), Seamus (Shrule), sister Nuala (Castlebar), grandchildren Sophia, Nathan and Sean, son-in-law Martin Halligan, daughter-in-law Helen, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from Coady's Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 to The Church Of The Holy Rosary for Requiem Mass at 1 o'clock. Funeral afterwards to Castlebar Old Cemetery where Alicoque will be interred with her baby son John James.

Predeceased by his brothers Mick, Jim and Pat and sister Julie. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, sons Michael and Tommy, sisters Mary and Kay, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Removal from his home on Tuesday to St Joseph's Church, Aghamore, arriving for Mass at 11.30 a.m. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

NORA MANGAN, FOXFORD

Nora Mangan (née McNulty), Riverside, Foxford.

Predeceased by her parents Martin and Kate and her brothers Martin, Michael. Andy and Liam.

Nora will be dearly and lovingly missed by her devoted husband Joe and family Francis, Mary and Joe, her loving granddaughters Meghan, Anna, Lauren and Dayna, her sisters Maureen Brogan (Stonehall, Foxford) and Kathleen Farrell (Sligo), daughter in-law Anne, son-in-law Robert and Francis' partner Sharon, her nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives, neighbours, friends and members of The Knock Shrine Society.

Funeral cortège will leave her residence on Sunday 12.40 to St. Michael's Church, Foxford for funeral Mass at 1 p.m. with the funeral proceeding to Craggagh Cemetery.
