Investigations continuing into Mayo fatal hit and run collision

Gardaí in Mayo have confirmed that investigations are continuing into a fatal hit and run collision which occurred at Humbert Way in Castlebar on March 10 last.

A man in his 30s, who is not from the locality, was arrested on March 13 and subsequently released without charge.

It has now being confirmed that gardaí are not seeking anybody else in respect of their inquiries into the tragedy.

A file is expected to be send to the DPP in due course.

A man in his 40s, Deniss Prosvirnevs, Spencer Street, Castlebar, lost his life as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.
